I guess some of you might have noticed there are no updates for a while. My desktop PC has decided to go into retirement. It's been with me for I think 3-4 years, and before that not too sure how long with my brother. So I guess it was about time. It's been giving me so much problems trying to get it to start up, and from hanging up once I got into the system.

The good news is I just managed to purchase a new laptop (HP DV5 1036TX) from SITEX 2008 over the weekend (though my heart was itching to get the HDX-16 with full HD). The bad news is there is no stock, and I might have to wait for another 2 weeks.

So, keep buying friends, and I'll be back sometime in mid December 2008 !

Movie Masters The Dark Knight

Went down to Vivocity to visit a camera shop to redeem some freebies, but went there a bit too late, and they were closed. So decided to pop in the Toys R Us there, and surprised to find another Gotham City Thug with a mask that I do not have. And the cool thing is this is the mask the Joker wore at the Bank heist.

Transformers Custom

Picked up another cool custom by FansProject, the people who gave us the TFX-01 City Commander. This is a gas/petrol can/container that can transform into a big gun, suitable for Bineltechs/Alternators. It was created for Optimus Prime SRT-10. The Matrix of Leadership fits nicely into the figure.

Macross

And finally haul the 1/60 Destroid Tomahawk back, and surprisingly in a smaller and compact packaging. Thanks to Yamato for being environment friendly by reducing the unnecessary large empty spaces in their previous packaging. I think all other Japanese companies should follow suit.

Comics Recently Borrowed - Transformers Spotlight KUP

I was visiting my sister and her kids, and Konrad, the eldest son showed me what he had borrowed recently from the library - a couple of Transformers Spotlight comics from IDW publishing - Ultra Magnus, Soundwave, Hot Rod, Kup, Sixshot and Nighbeat.

What caught my attention was the artwork on Kup - rough, sketchy and stylized - something that I liked. So I told him once he is finished with the book, to lend it to me and I will return for him. Now I will need to buy this comic.

He was the one who actually got me back to the library, and I am also glad I have made him a Transformer fan. I am still looking for a reasonably priced G1 Sixshot.

Comic Review - Flight Vol 4

After picking up the first volume of Flight, an anthology of independent comics, I have since picked up every single volume they have dished out. Reason is these short stories are a great read, something different from the current mainstream comics, and the artwork are also amazing. If you are looking for something different, Flight is the one for you.

Scott Campbell, aka ScottC, is a regular contributer to Hickee comics and has appeared in a number of other comics anthologies over the years. I like the style and the story.

Roomie-Pal ! - Graham Annable

Enjoying life with his wife in Portland, Oregon, Graham Annable is the creator behind the Grickle books and Stickleback, and editor and contributor of the Hickee anthology. [www.grickle.com]

This shows how simple stick figures and facial expressions can convey expressions and mood.

Tripod - Bannister and Joel Carroll

Bannister was born in 1973 in France. He currently lives near the Alps with his lovely girlfriend and no pets. His new story, Les Enfants d'Ailleurs, was published in January 2007 (Dupuis Publishing). He has collaborated on many projects both in Europe and overseas. [www.bannister.fr]

I like the artwork, and it feels quite dynamic.

The Storm - Pascal Campion

Pascal Campion comes from the south of France where he spent a good deal of his time riding his bike around. After going to art school in the northern part of France, he decided one day to try the United States to see what it would be like. He never went back. He now lives in beautiful San Francisco with his lovely wife and their dog, where he still enjoys riding his bike up and down the hills, and enjoys all the Indian food he can find.

The artwork, colours and sequence brings the story to live, without the use of dialogue.

Bigwheels - Ovi Nedelcu

Ovi Nedelcu is the creator of Pigtale and currently works at Laika Studios. He balances working in print and animation. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wift and two kids. Ovi believes in three things: God, love and human stupidity. [www.ovinedelcu.com and www.pigtalecomic.com]

I had seen Ovi's artwork before, and I think his style is great - clean lines and stylized.

To Grandma's - Clio Chang

Clio Chang is from Vancouver, British Columbia, where she is currently a working stiff in the animation industry on such shows as Pucca and Ricky Sprocket. She enjoys free time, green tea, and cooking. Occasionally she posts scribblings at www.cliochiang.com.

I do not quite understand the story, but her style is used very much in current animation. Nice facial expressions and poses.

Cortina - Fabio Moon

52 The Covers - a collection of all 52 series covers, including collections, unused covers. Each cover's conceptualization is briefly explained, with preliminary sketches on one page, and the final cover on the other.
Essential Amazing Spider-man Vol 2 - I could not find volume 1, so just start with volume 2.
Flight Volume 4 - collection of the finest independent artworks from various artists. Do check out the other volumes. The latest as of this posting is Volume 5.

Got this from Comics Connection. It is made in China, and costs only S$2.50. I am not sure if the cashier punched in the correct code, as he was checking with other stores. I thought it might ring up something around S$10.
I picked this up because I need to compete with shaun, who bought a folding chair.

Haul of the Day - Mattel Movie Masters TDK Thug

While hunting high and low for the latest Spider-man figures, I came across these 2 Movie Master Gotham City Thug from The Dark Knight movie. Even though I did not find what I was really looking for, I still managed to find something else I was looking for.

The figures are the same, and the only difference is the mask. There are actually 5 versions, and I only managed to find 2 on the shelves.

Guess I will never find the rest, as these were only available in the first waves if I am not mistaken. They must have been some old stock left behind some storeroom.
Also did not see the Fear Toxin Batman and Unmask Batman chase figures as well.

Anyway, the only minus point about these figures are they do not come with any accessories.

Star Wars

Picked these Clone Wars wave 2 figures from TFH, as I know getting the Clone Troopers from retail will be quite impossible nowadays if you do not have any connections, or at the right place at the right time. And this brings us to the next haul.

Quite surprised to find the latest Legacy waves on the pegs during a morning appointment with a retail store employee. Actually I only found the FX-6 medical droid, among the other figures (sans Clone Troopers) of this wave. The employee asked me if I was looking for any particular figure, and I told him I was looking for Clone Wars Odd Ball. He said he would check the stocks for me, and came back with a Shock Trooper as well. Thanks man !
(Btw, the other figures in the latest Legacy wave was taken by another person.)

Even though I had bought the Henkei version, I still bought the Hasbro Silverstreak because shaun keeps telling me something about the shoulder missiles being G1 accurate.

I was introduced to the Blade of the Immortal manga like more than 10 years ago (I think, maybe less), from a shop keeper. I told him I was into comic art, and he told me to check out this series. Since then, I have been buying each translated volume, but still, have not read a single one. haha. Anyways, the anime was released a couple of months ago, and I just happen to chance upon it. Only seen one episode, and was kind of ok.

It has a nice opening though, Akai Usagi (Red Rabbit) by Makura no Soushi.

The wait is finally over. The first set of Blocker Corp Machine Blaster Sundaio and BossPalder has arrived, courtesy of the guys at TFH, who helped me get this from Japan, as well as one for Marcus.

Revoltech

Picked up the latest Revoltech Mouse Generation Street Fighter Online (SFO) He Tie Shou, as well as the regular #62 TengenToppa Gurren Lagann Final Form and #63 Ricky.
Did not pick up Ryu, as I did not quite like the figure. Until it grows on me, it is not on the ToGet list. The Mouse Generation is roughly 3.75" tall (or rather short) by the way.

Here's a preview of some of the upcoming figma figures that I might be picking. Something about girls with swords just gets me excited.

Shana from Shakugan no Shana anime. This is the red hair version, and there will be another version with black hair.

Still in prototype stage, Reika from Gantz. ETA is June 2009, and is packed with vol 26 of the manga. Not sure if we will see a normal release. These figures packed with manga are quite difficult to get, let alone being expensive to import, like the previous Rei from Evangelion manga, and Gally from Gunnm: Last Order manga.

DC MiniMates

Shaun and myself paid a visit in the afternoon to our favourite comic shop GnB hoping to score some MS Hulk, but shipment was only due in the later part of the afternoon or evening. Disappointed, we just looked around (Shaun apparently at something else), so as not to waste the trip, and I eventually picked up this piece. I thought the Green Lantern was quite cool. I would have picked up an Alex Ross ToyMan (from Justice), but not sure of the articulations, I decided not to.

After reading Desmond's post on Sunshine Plaza, I decided to head on there for a look, and the fact it has been ages since I last went there. Also, there was sightings on a Bandai candy toy at one of the shops there prompted my visit.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Manwolf is quite an old figure from this Spider-man line which I never did really want to pick up when it was first released, as I was not familiar with the character. But after seeing pictures from other collectors, I decide to pick it up, for a good price of S$15 as well.

Final Fantasy VII Play Arts

This version of Yuffie Kisaragi (S$48) is from Final Fantasy VII. There is another version from Final Fantasy: Advent Children movie, which looks a bit plain. But this is where I first saw the character, and that cool looking weapon. It reminds me of Sasuke's weapon from Naruto.

MuGen

This is the Bandai set of candy toys MugenKaiSeiJuu that I was tipped off, but found at the shop instead of another. It is S$2 more than what you will normally get at Comics Connection.

When down to the flea market to pick up another SCM Gundam Zaku, but found that the stall that was selling them had none, even though last week they had at least 3-4 sets left. Also wanted to pick up some 1/6 swords, but the shop was half opened, and did not had the stuff on sale. Bummer. I thought I had wasted a trip down, but after walking for 2 rounds, I managed to snag some cool stuff.

This is quite an old 2pack, if I recall, did not appear locally. This is the old Universe line by the way.

A surprise find, and a couple of shops were selling them. Got it at S$38, which is a nice deal. Probably it will be S$35 or less when it gets mass released.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Last week, only Michelangelo was available, but this week, Leonardo was available as well. So decided to pick both up, at only S$15 a piece.

Stands from Bandai

Found these at Ng's Collection, and reasonably priced. They are from Bandai, and only released recently. Each pack comes with 3 (yes 3, not 1) stands of the same type. Act1 is a simpler set, while Act2 has more variety. Mr Ng showed me that the joints on Act2 actually click, which is good as this will hold the joint in place. These are suitable for SIC, SHFigurat, Revoltech, and anything within the range of 4" to 8".

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Found these at OG. The super Battle Droid is from the Clone Wars movie, which means Cmd Cody and Clone Pilot from the same movie are also out, but all snapped up. The guy in front of me grabbed the only Ahsoka Tano. The Clone Trooper released with the new waves is a clean version. Will pose a comparison picture later. Also the visor on the backing card is blue instead of black on the new waves.

Finally, these figures are being marked down. The deluxe figures are going for S$14.90. I saw the Interactive Wall.E going for S$49.90, down from the usual S$99.90. Tempting.

The figure should be hitting the local shores within the week or so, and just announced in Hobby Japan Nov 2008 edition, Yamato will release a weathered version. No mention if this is limited or an exclusive. Thanks a lot Yamato. If given a choice, I would rather get this weathered version.

The Spectacular Spider-man Animated

Finally got a figure from this series, and a bit of luck when I held off buying any from the first series. Hasbro had added a double-joint knee articulation, instead of the previous series 1 version, which had only a single-joint. Now only if they do one for the red/blue costume, with a Peter Parker head.

After watching the movie, I decided to picked up the more articulated version of the toy. But it seems that the movie is so well received, the merchandise are flying off the shelves, with EVE not to be found anywhere.

Just read this article about Ted Mckeever's work being collected under an Image imprint. This is really good news, as Ted Mckeever is one of my favourite artists. I noticed his works in Plastic Forks, and started to track them to Eddy Current, Transit, and later Metropol and Metropol AD, and some of his mainstream stuff from DC and Marvel.

The only problem is I had already bought the collected Eddy Current, and the individual Metropol series. The Metropol series was also collected under a different company. Bummer.

This boxset was supposedly only available at SDCC 2008, but the local TRU managed to get them, although at S$79.90. I managed to get this piece from a frequent HK seller at only S$50. Box is not the best condition, but with such a price tag, it doesn't really matter. The boxart is done by Frank Cho by the way.

Had been chasing this figure forever, and when I had a chance to get it at Takashimaya, I gave up the opportunity because it was closing time. Luckily I waited and get his from the same HK seller at a cheaper price.

Only Vincent's shop was selling this series, and I was glad he continued to bring in the second series.

Gundam S.C.M. EX

Special Creative Model (S.C.M.) EX is a cool UFO Catcher prize item series featuring well-articulated action figures of Mobile Suits from the "Gundam" universe that come complete with weapons and optional hands!

And "well-articulated" is an understatement. Just do a search on "SCM EX" on the Japanese websites and you get to see the galleries of these Banpresto figures and their amazing articulation. Take it from a guy who loves articulation. It's awesome.

Picked this up from an unusual stall that was selling stuff dolls and other nick-knacks. They had a stack of the recent Gouf and Zaku releases, and Zeta and Hyaku Shiki which (if I am correct) are late last year's release. I did not like the anime One Piece when I first watched a few episodes, because it was very draggy. But later I realise some of the weekly anime from Japan are like this (eg Naruto, Bleach, etc), to drag out the show or let the manga have some breathing space.

Lately the cable TV was showing a new installment of the anime, and I decided to give it another try. Surprisingly, I found it quite interesting, though still draggy.

And what actually caught my attention was the opening theme, Brand New World by D-51.

It's been so long since I bid on eBay, since I could get most of the stuff locally, either via the toy shops or the flea market. But I had been on the look out for this Skrull set from the Fantastic Four Classics line since it was released a few years back.

I was always either outbid or missed the closing due to different time zones. And most of the time, the auctions were for each figure, and none for the whole set. I finally found an auction, by luck, from a Hong Kong seller. Was a bit hesitant due to the number of black sheep that were giving HK sellers a bad reputation. I emailed the seller and they were quite friendly. I stakeout the auction, and the rest was history.

The CAGE

It's Friday night, and the guys over at Falcon had invited me to join them for a game of football over at The Cage with the entire crew and some other friends. I have heard them talked about their first outing there, and did not pay much attention to their stories.

It has been more than 3 years since I last exercised, due to the hours I have to put in for my new job (I still had time for a jog once a week with my colleague in my previous job). But I thought, how tough could it get, kicking a ball around a building, with rotating teams.

Anyway, all geared up, I managed to leave the office at 7:30pm, and headed to Waterloo to meet up with the guys. We left at 8pm. Once we got there, I changed and we waited for 9pm, which is the start of the booking.

My first injury came, even before we started playing. I was doing some warm up stretches, and managed to pull my thigh muscle. With the pain still there, I continued to go into the "cage" and did some warm up kicks. The pain later subsided.

We sorted out who belonged to which team, and started the match. While chasing the ball, I somehow tripped myself (heard of butter legs ?), fell and rolled over once or twice, bruising my elbow in the process. Zinc was asking me later what the heck was I doing. I was asking myself the same question, and I have not even tackled or touched the football yet ! 5mins into the game, and only ran some distance, I had the wind knocked out of me. I was literally breathless, so I volunteered to be the goalkeeper.

As the game progressed, I managed to get into the rhythm of the game. Later in another set, I managed to save a ball, but that cost me a bad bruise on the knee. The ground feels like it is made of rock particles. And the final set, while trying to save an incoming shot, I used my hands (instinctively) to block the shot, and that cost me a real bad and nasty sprain to my right index finger. I was in quite a lot of pain, and told the guys to switch places with me. I later had a death wish as I unwittingly charged at Simon, thinking that I can take on someone who is like 3-4 times larger than me. Stupid.

All in all, I had great fun with the guys and gals and even kids !

Later that whole week, I was so sore in my thighs, body and finger, I felt so handicapped, that I had a better appreciation for all those handicap friendly facilities that are put in buses and buildings. Oh, and I think I better have that finger checked out by a doctor too. Also thanks to all those who showed concern about my injuries. :)

Movie Review - WALL.E

It was a choice between Clone Wars and Wall.E, and I let my nephew decide, even though I was hoping he choose Clone Wars. Luckily he made the right choice, after reading quite a number of bad reviews about Clone Wars. My colleague wanted to bring her kids to see Clone Wars as well, but in the end decided to see Wall.E. Good choice.

In terms of storyline, it is the usual lonely, innocent male robot meets state-of-the-art female robot, falls in love, and saves the world, and makes a few friends along the way. Nothing groundbreaking. But the story telling, pace is indeed quite good.

The computer graphics and animation is once again top notch, as PIXAR time and time again improves and amazes us in every new movie they make. Check out the details, dirt, trails, etc, lighting, mood, backgrounds, effects, etc. Much of the designs of the robots seen on the Axiom, as well as EVE, were influenced by Apple.

It is a funny and heart warming movie, and you can relate to the characters. My brother told me my niece cried during the scene when Wall.E was crushed.

I recommend to all people, couples and kids.

This is another title for my DVD collection.

The funny thing I noticed is how Wall.E developed a personality without any human contact, except for the Hello Dolly ! video and his only faithfully pet cockroach. I would assume his programming and hardware would not allow this to happen, as they only followed their directives (ala Robocop). Only the new robots on the Axiom displayed certain personality and were able to make independent decisions.

The kind staff at Metro Woodlands asked me if I needed a particular figure, and he would go to the store and check. Now that's customer service !

Iron Movie

I finally succumb to the temptation and bought the snap on armour Iron Man. The artculation is not so great, and the reason why I did not get it initially. But the snap on mask is quite a neat gimmick.

Indiana Jones 4

Finally also found this item. Was looking for it since the clearance started at Carrefour. Now if I can only find the military truck and German soldier 2pack. I passed on the German Officer, but is regretting a bit.

Thanks to the tip off from SGCollect members and cosmicbaby, got this series from the local 7-11 convenience store. It seems that some stores require a minimum purchase of 2 bottles of 500ml coke before you can purchase any of these items, so check with the counter staff first. The one at the bottom of my block has this policy, while the one near my work place does not need any other purchase.

Managed to pay the megastore Ikea located in Tampines, and for someone who has not been to other country's Ikea before, it does look huge, like a warehouse.
These adjusted table lights are a steal, at only S$14.90 per piece.

I chose these 3pack 11W energy saving light bulbs at S$7.90. There was another 2pack round bulbs, but costs S$16.90. Asked the sales person who said that the 3pack is brighter/glaring while the 2pack is less glaring and has a safety feature. It seems that if the bulb breaks, the glass will stay within the bulb somehow. And the reason for the price difference.
Well, seeing how much I am paying for the lights, I thought I should just go for the 3pack.

Hopefully these lights will help with the picture quality, as I usually take them at night after work.

With a tip off from SGCollect, I made a call in the morning to TRU United Squares and luckily there were still some left on the shelves. When I collected in the afternoon, none was there, but still have Batman Begins Batman and Scarecrow.
Even though the price for this Movie Masters line is ridiculously high at S$39.90, Joker is still being snapped up.

Got this sometime back from Carrefour, but kept it in the office. But later all department stores are also selling at the discounted price of S$29.90. I guess it was to clear the 30th Anniversary crap before the Clone Wars crap start to flood the shelves.

Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Looks like clearance is the new trend these days with department stores. Months after the movie has completed its run, all Indy 4 merchandise are on clearance.
This is still going for S$15.
The likeness of Harrison Ford is way off, but the horse looks nice.

This 3-pack was previously retailing for S$99. They were finally on sale at the Takashimaya 12th (not so) Crazy Toy Sale. Luckily I held out on this purchase, since 2006, when it was just released. What I like about this set is the Ackguy. These 3 figures (actually 2) were released separately, albeit with a slightly different colour scheme. They were the first few figures in the HCM Pro series.

Movie Review: The Dark Knight

This by far, is the best superhero movie todate.

Even though the show was about 2.5 hours, it did not seem that long. The pace was good, with action from the very start and nicely placed throughout the movie.
And you get excited to see what will happen next.

As most would have said, the late Heath Ledger did steal the whole show.

I was surprised to see quite a number of actors (at least those I recognized) in this movie. Chin Han, the Singaporean actor had quite a big role in this film, even though Edison Chen was in the news. He only had a few seconds in the film, and you can't even see his face clearly. His interaction is only with Morgan Freeman, while Chin Han interacted with the major actors.

I think most of the actors pulled off this movie very well.

The interaction between Batman and Joker really setup their whole relationship.

I like Gary Oldman's narration at the end of the movie.

Batman did not utilize his utility belt this time round though.

I am not sure how they will top this movie if they are ever going to make another sequel.

The only 2 complaints is not about the movie, but the cinema. The film was too dark, so I could not clearly see some of the night scenes. The audio was also not good, as I could not hear the dialogue very well. So for most part of the film, I was not sure where the whole plot was going.

Now, about those Hottoys figures and vehicles....

Toy Review - MIMO Hong Kong Food series

Found these when I was browsing through the Re-ment section at Takashimaya. It seems to be made in Hong Kong, and marketed by the toy shop UML Hobby (ignore the one with Japanese).

The focus of these 2 series is about Hong Kong local food. The roast meat series is already the third version, with additional 2 new items. I have not seen this until today though. But it's on the high side. One sealed box costs S$89.95.

Package

The box is quite sturdy, which will prevent people from trying to pry open to see what is inside the box before buying.

Contents

The colours on the meat is different from the packaging. Not sure why.

Quality-wise, it is pretty much on the level of Re-ment and Megahouse.
If I can find a cheaper source, I would not mind getting the whole set.

Arg, I just realize the spelling on "endorse" is incorrect, and I am too lazy to change it.

Sadly, no one brings in the MMS series anymore, due to deadstock (or overstock) for the later series. Konami seems to have a knack for producing shelf warmers, eg AMDiver, which I though was great.

MIMO Shokugan

Similar to the Japanese Re-ment series, but it deals with local Hong Kong flair.
I bought 2 to try it out. It's quite expensive - a sealed box costs S$89.95.
It is marketed by Hong Kong's UML Hobby toy shop.
I think Michelle should be interested in this.

Toy Review - The Incredible Hulk - HULK

Afte watching the movie, I finally took out the Hulk figure that I got from the GSS Takashimaya sale.
(Please bear with the lousy quality of the photos).

Package

Figure

Hulk is a fairly articulated figure, thought not as many as the previous ToyBiz incarnations. But good enough to hold a few decent poses.
Note the ball joints at the shoulder, elbows and knees do not provide a wide range of movement though. I prefer the ToyBiz cut and double joints combination.
This is the most articulated figure in the whole line by the way.

The joints in general are not too tight, but I think I just happen to get one with a fairly loose left hand. This is a disappointed as this is the hand which holds the beam.

The paint on the figure is fairly good though, except for the blue joints on the legs. The Hulk also have a good facial expression.

Accessories

Hulk comes with a break away steel beam. I wish they had given Hulk articulated hands, or at least have both open hands instead of a closed one to hold the beam.

Scale

It is 6" scale, which is the same height as ToyBiz's Marvel Legends, but out of scale. I hope to get my hands on the TRU exclusive Hulk, which is in scale with Marvel Legends series.

Movie Review - The Incredible Hulk

Caught the movie over the weekend. It was a good movie, with lots of action than its predecessor. I read from Wiki that this is supposed to be a reboot of the Lee Ang version. I had not known this earlier, so I was quite puzzled why the start of the movie showed a different flashback.

I also had a good time spotting some of the easter eggs planted in the movie. The cameo by "Tony Stark" at the end of the movie made it all the more sweet.

Edward Norton did a nice job of portraying an emotional Bruce Banner, especially his expression when he saw Betty Ross for the first time in more than 5 years. Liv Tyler on the other hand, was quite stiff in this movie.

The movie had a more comic and TV series element to it.

The effects were good, and I really like the last part when the Hulk went "Hulk Smash !!!". It was corny, but great !

On a scale of 10, I would rate it a 8. Go see it today !

It had been a great and fun 3 days. The last 2 days were spent helping the Hangar Crew man their booth. Great experience ! Would not have traded it for anything else.

Singapore Toy and Comic Convention 2008 - Batman Gotham Knight Asian Preview

I was there on the 2nd day of the convention where they screened Batman Gotham Knight. Though I did not win any tickets, and did not had a chance to sit through the entire screening (of all the 6 shorts by the way), I managed to catch some bits and pieces.

The first chapter "Have I Got a Story For You" itself below my mind away. It was animated by Studio 4ºC. You can tell straight away from the distinct style of animation. The animation alone sold me to get the DVD when it is released.

The other 2 Japanese studios are Production I.G. and Madhouse, both renowned for their superb animation.

The plots are darker, and so is the mood of the animation. The characters are animated in the usual Japanese styles, so they do not look like any of the Western counterparts. This is quite refreshing.

Go get the DVD when it is released !

In general, the convention was a minor disappointment to me. There were few new items that was displayed. Basically, it did not live up to the hype or expectations.

For example, the Medicom booth only showcased Son GoKu and a few other soon to be released 1/6th RAH, a few bearbricks and some fuzzy cat. The display was quite pathetic though. But a close up look of Son GoKu made me want to get him more, though the material for the clothing was not up to standard.

The Bandai also showed old stuff, and limited only to Saint Seiya, Gundam kits, SOC, SIC and surprisingly Ben10.

Hasbro only concentrated on Wizards and Clone Wars, and the Star Wars display was decent only.

The Clone Wars figures are great looking !

I did not take any more pictures as there was nothing much worth capturing.

But it was a good attempt to organize such a major event, and get so many participants, local and overseas. It is a good step in the right direction, and hopefully we will have another one next year.
