Haul of the Weeks

My PC had be behaving erratically these few days, and I have also been busy with work to update this blog. Some hauls over the last week fews. Pictures taken at night, so bear with the quality.

Hottoys 1/6 Nudes

Relaunched Asian and Caucasian nudes, with some Chinese guy and Michael Scofield likeness.

Medicom RAH BM

Mail away Rider 2 from Mask Rider The Next movie.

Kaiyodo Revoltech

Japan shop exclusive Toro.

SIC

Vol 41. So hard to choose a nice piece, so in the end settle for one with a good Rider X, and the other figure with a misaligned flap on the chest. You cannot see it as the picture is poorly taken.

Transformers Movie

I purchased the Hasbro version, only to hear news later that the TakaraTomy version will be slightly different.

Takaratomy's equivalent to Hasbro's Premium BB. Odd that Hasbro has yet to release theirs.

1/6th Accessory

German WWII Stielhandgranate 24 with Case & Pouch Set says the email. I say it looks cool.

Star Wars

And who can get enough of troopers.

Transformers Animated and Exclusives

Scummed to temptation, I broke down and purchased these figures.
Loose animated Blitzwing, Jazz and Soundwave.
Loose Henkei Crystal Convoy (Japan toy show and e-Hobby exclusive) and Classics Nemesis Optimus Prime (SDCC 2008 exclusive).

Review - Mai ZHime 01

The pictures did not turn out well after I downloaded to the PC for editing from the camera. So I will just post some pictures, and may do a full review at a later date.

Haul of the Day

Engine OH Sentai

Funny only these candy toys showed up. The first series apparently did not make it locally.

Transformers Movie

Deep Space Starscream (repaint).

Transformers Animated

Leader class (so fast).

And finally got my voyager Megatron.

All thanks to shaun for hooking me up with all great Transformer deals.

Mai ZHime

S$15 a figure, which is heavily (=desperately) marked down. If I remember correctly, it was going for twice during the last crazy toy sale.

Video Recommendation - Iron Man's Adventures

This is so cool. Now only if the live action movies were like this.

Music Recommendation - Jimmy Coup

While searching for the singer of the Ben10 live action movie Race Against Time theme,

I stumble onto Jimmy Coup's Don't Believe a Word song.

But not sure if they are the same singers though.

Haul of the Day

The Great Singapore Sale officially started on May 23, 2008. My damage for the second day of the sale.

Transformers Animated
The department stores are stocking up on these figures after the success of the movie franchise.

Activators are much welcomed series. It has good articulations and great sculpt for a great price.

Wave 1 Deluxe figures.

Wave 1 Voyagers, missing Megatron due to a glitch. :(

Deluxe DVD boxset, exclusive to Takashimaya for now.

Transformers Movie

With 20% discounts and a further 10% after the discounted price, I could not resist.
But I am putting off Jazz, Brawl and Barricade, for now.

Spider-Man Movie Trilogy

Sadly, out of desperation to get the Venom figure, I picked up the last one on the rack that is blind (bad paint chip) in one eye. :(
But the Trilogy series, though are all rehashes, gives other collectors who missed out previously on the other movie series, as well as other Spider-man series like classics.

Incredible Hulk movie

I know I said I will never be picking up this line, but this figure, the most articulated in the series, was decent enough not to resist.

Ben 10

Had been wanting to get this figure since the first time I saw it at Carrefour a few years back, before the cartoon became popular. Heatblast is the most articulated figure of the whole series.

Konami AM Driver

A failed series by Konami in Japan and overseas, that they had to mark down the price so much, and still not selling.
Actually this series is not bad, but not sure why people just do not buy in. The anime was horrible though.

Haul of the Day

Transformers Movie

Picked them up at Takashimaya at 20% discount.

Comics

Kinokuniya finally had a 20% discount for all stores, opened to the public.

Haul of Yesterday - 18 May 2008

Forgot to mention got this 1/6th water bottle "gift" from shaun.

Music Recommendation - Duffy

Just heard her songs on a TV advertisement. Quite a retro feel.

Mercy

But I like this one better. Has the "My Girl" tune to it.

Comics Borrowed Recently

Was talking to a colleague the other day, and he said Nausicaa was a great read. While browsing through, saw the middle comic by Matt Smith. He has a similar style to Mike Mignola.
